Extremely disappointing entry

I'll try to avoid spoilers, but the main issues for me stem from the split POV in this book. Marla isn't a very interesting character anyway and when you throw in the idiotic relationship drama from her + Claude (fidelity is not a thing in this series, for anyone), all of the Thrinaar sections become a serious slog. Couple that with the agonizingly slow pace, stupid relationship drama in Garrett's POV and it's all fairly painful. I kept waiting for the protagonist to grow a pair and to the very last page it never happened. I'm dropping this series.

Sadly its the worst book in the series.

I will sadly have to say this was the worst book in the series, although it was great that we now have 2 different POV in this book, instead of adding to the quality of the book, it only subtracts from the book overall, I sadly didn't like reading about the vampire girl as much as I did with the MC (Main Character), I would sometimes skip pages just so I can get back to seeing how the MC is doing. Also I hated the fact that fidelity meant almost nothing in this book, the author spend 3 books building up a romance between the MC and the vampire girl to just have it thrown to the way side in exchange for some unneeded drama. This wouldn't be a big problem if the author had not spent 3 whole books building up the romance of these two but since he did, it just annoyed me as a long time series reader to see him thrown it away. Sadly after reading the incredible book 3 of this series (which I read twice), I can't help but give this book a 2 out on 5.

The best of all books about the drive-in.

As a former drive-in manager, I look for all books about this topic. The Sanders' book is the best I have seen. If you only want a single book about drive-ins, this is it. The historical survey is concise and well-written, and the photographs are dazzling. I especially appreciated the page devoted to the classic Winston Link drive-in/train photo from the Fifties. This will be a great gift/coffee table book for any of your friends who ever went to the drive-in. Other books about the drive-in culture have been rendered irrelevant by the Sanders' work. Congratulations to them.

Interesting Info

Being a huge fan of drive-ins, I really looked forward to reading this book. The only criticism I have is the sequence of the actual chapter text of the book, and the information inserts that the author has throughout. It is very "chopped" up. Reading the chapter, then turning the page to find there is information pertaining to something else on the next page. The chapter text starts a couple of pages later in some cases, breaking up the continuity. Other than this, it makes for a very interesting read for those who enjoy nostalgia and want to be transported back to a more simpler and fun time.

Well written, concise and easy to grasp!

I have been looking for a way to learn how to get started with C++ without any prior knowledge about programming. Almost every book I've looked at assumes you already know at least something about programming. This book doesn't. I read the whole thing in just a couple days and just absorbed everything, it is extremely well written and easy to get into and understand.

It provided just the right balance of a fast pace, but not too fast as to be overwhelming. It's concise and always to the point; no extra filler material.

I highly recommend this book.

If you 're not a Computer Science student or graduate just like me, you will find this book extremely helpful for a very simple reason: the author focuses on the syntax of C++.
Libraries and examples are kept separate in the early stages, because they're so much larger, but the syntax of C++ turns out to be relatively simple.
Variables, arrays, strings and functions are explained clearly without needless repetition or theory.
Only what is relevant is taught here in a highly condensed style.
This is the best book you're likely to come across as a C++ newbie and I would even recommend it to seasoned developers for its more advanced features on Preprocessors and Type Conversions."
